Amstel Malta, the brand that encourages Nigerians to step into the spotlight and be their best, stepped in as the only brand willing to sponsor and rally the nation’s support for our female national football team, the Super Falcons, as they headed to France for the 2019 World Cup.
Nigerians care less about women’s football, which is a shame, considering our Super Falcons are 9-time African Champions. While it wasn’t a surprise that the Super Falcons qualified for the World Cup for the 9th time in a row, to many, it wasn’t newsworthy. As 9-time African female football champions and the current defending African champions, we were able to support our girls with a bold statement - “We Got Balls.” To reinforce our message, we put together an amazing team of all-women, cast, and crew, to develop our campaign.
