With the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a global lockdown, people were stuck at home with nowhere to go. The urge for women to look and feel beautiful became largely ignored. In Nigeria, women didn’t see the need to invest in their looks anymore, and this led to a drop in sales for our client, Nivea.

We decided to introduce an already existing global initiative—Beauty Month to Nigeria, targeting Nigerian women.

The idea of Beauty Month in Nigeria was to influence women to still look and feel beautiful despite the pandemic. To unveil Beauty Month, we launched the “Reveal Your Beauty” campaign—an initiative to help women understand that true beauty comes from within. We partnered with influencers to reintroduce Nivea to our TA, showing them the functional benefits of Nivea and how it helps them stay beautiful.

The campaign launched at the peak of lockdown, without the professional, technical frills. Just simple digital conversations shot by our influencers, who were also sitting at home. The campaign became a moral boost for women to make conscious efforts to not just feel beautiful, but also look beautiful.
